Ingredients

  • 2lb/1 kg small peaches
  • ½ pint/250

Method

Wipe the peaches which should not be too ripe. Put the vinegar, sugar, cinnamon and cloves into a pan and heat slowly, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Put in the peaches, bring to the boil, and cook over low heat until the fruit is tender but not soft. Lift out the peaches with a perforated spoon and put into hot preserving jars. Bring the liquid to the boil and pour over the peaches. S
