Ingredients

  • 1 pint/500 ml orange juice
  • 2 lb/1 kg sugar
  • 2 pints/1 litre rum

Method

Strain the orange juice and boil with the sugar for 5 minutes, skimming occasionally. Leave until cold and then put into a jar with the rum. Seal tightly and leave for 6 weeks, shaking the jar twice daily for the first 2 weeks. Filter into bottles.
