Method

Use high quality tender sweet prunes. Pack them into small screw-top jars, such as honey jars. Fill up with port or brandy, making sure the liquid fills all the spaces in the jars. Seal tightly and keep for at least 6 weeks. The prunes become plump and make a delicious dessert served in the liquid.
