This is a simple variation of the above recipe which is useful for many cooking purposes. Just use a few late strawberries or raspberries, one or two small peaches, and a handful of Victoria plums and put them in a preserving jar. Top up with brandy, seal and keep in the refrigerator. Add odd pieces of fruit when you have them. Use the fruit and liquid to add to fruit salads or to serve with ic
