  • 4 oz flour
  • 4 oz. fine oatmeal
  • 1 tablespoon syrup
  • ΒΌ teaspoon salt
  • Β½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 small teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 egg
  • β…œ pint milk


    Mix dry ingredients, add syrup, beaten egg and enough milk to make a dropping consistency. Drop in spoonfuls on a hot, greased griddle. Cook until brown on either side. Cool on a towel. Serve with syrup.
