  • About

  • 6 large onions
  • Butter
  • Salt and pepper

Remove any loose outer skin from the onions, but leave as much skin as possible. Put on to a baking tin in the bottom of the oven in which the joint is cooking. Cook until the onions are tender, testing them with a skewer, which will easily go into the centre when they are done. Serve with plenty of butter, salt and pepper.
