  • 2oz butter
  • ΒΌ pint water
  • 4oz plain flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 3oz grated Cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper


    Boil the butter and water together. Add the sieved flour to the boiled liquid, beating well until smooth. Add the eggs and beat well. Beat in the grated cheese, salt and pepper. Fry spoonfuls in hot fat, turning to brown on both sides.
