  • 6oz grated Cheddar cheese
  • 8oz white breadcrumbs
  • 2 pints milk
  • 2 onions, peeled and grated
  • 2oz butter
  • 4 eggs
  • Salt and pepper
  • Butter


    Boil the milk with the grated onions. Pour on to the cheese, breadcrumbs, butter, salt and pepper. Mix well with the beaten eggs. Pour into a buttered pie dish and bake at 375°F, 190°C, gas mark 5 for thirty minutes.
