  • 6oz fine oatmeal
  • 1lb plain white flour
  • Β½oz yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • A little warm milk


    Mix the oatmeal and flour. Cream the yeast with the sugar and add a little warm milk. Add to the flour mixture, adding more warm milk as necessary to make a thin batter. Cook like pancakes in a thick frying pan, and eat hot with butter.
