  • 1 lettuce
  • Small bunch of chives
  • 1 saltspoon salt
  • 1 saltspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon black treacle


    Wash the lettuce and drain and dry it well. Shred the lettuce and add it to the chives chopped very finely. Mix the salt, pepper, vinegar and treacle, and toss the lettuce and chives in this dressing.
