  • 8oz ham
  • 8oz rump steak
  • 4oz soft white breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon mace
  • ¼ teaspoon allspice
  • ¼ teaspoon thyme


    Mince the ham and beef, add the breadcrumbs and bind with the egg. Add salt and pepper, spices and thyme. Put into a greased basin covered with foil, and steam for three hours. This is very good to eat with cold poultry.
