Ingredients

  • 4oz self-raising flour
  • 4oz soft white breadcrumbs
  • 4oz suet
  • 6oz brown sugar
  • Good ⅜ pint of milk
  • 4oz mixed raisins, sultanas and currants
  • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

    Method

    Mix all the dry ingredients together except the bicarbonate of soda. Warm the milk and dissolve the bicarbonate of soda in it. Leave to cool. Add the milk to the other ingredients. Place in a greased bowl and steam for four hours.
