Method

Make this unusual pie exactly like a raised pork pie, using the same pastry but slightly sweetened instead of with salt and pepper seasoning. Fill it with well-drained green gooseberries. When baked and cooled, fill with warmed melted apple jelly and allow to cool again completely before serving. It can then be cut like a pork pie.
