  • 1lb sugar
  • ΒΌ pint Water
  • 8oz golden syrup
  • 1Β½oz butter
  • 18oz can condensed milk


    Heat the water and sugar gently until the sugar has dissolved. Stir in the syrup, butter and condensed milk. Boil until a little of the mixture forms a hard ball when dropped in cold water. Pour into a greased tray and mark in squares when it is cooling.
