Ingredients

  • 4lb strawberries
  • 4lb sugar

    Method

    Put the strawberries into a bowl with the sugar in layers and leave overnight. Put into a pan and bring to the boil. Boil for five minutes and return to the bowl. Leave overnight, then boil to setting point. Cool for fifteen minutes, stir well, and pour into hot jars. Cover and seal in the usual way.
