  • 3lb blackberries
  • 1lb sugar
  • ½ pint vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon each ground cinnamon and ground cloves


    Simmer the vinegar, sugar and spices together for five minutes. Add the blackberries and simmer for fifteen minutes. Bottle and seal down while very hot.
