  • Sprigs of fresh rosemary or lavender
  • caster sugar

    Method

    Clean and dry the rosemary or lavender. Put into a screw-topped jar and fill with sugar. Shake well and leave for twenty-four hours. Shake again and leave for a week before use. Use the sugar in milk puddings of all kinds, or sprinkle on cakes or biscuits.
