  • 1lb malt extract
  • 1oz hops
  • 1 gallon water
  • 1oz yeast

    Method

    Boil the malt, hops and water for one and a half hours, adding water to make up the original quantity. Strain through muslin. When the liquid is cool, add the yeast and leave covered for three days. Syphon off and bottle. Put one lump of sugar in each bottle and cork. This is ready in seven days.
