Ingredients

  • 12 large juicy oranges
  • 1 gallon Boiling water
  • 3lb sug

Method

Wash the oranges and slice them thinly, including the peel. Put into a china basin and pour over one gallon boiling water. Cover with a cloth and leave for a week, stirring two or three times a day. Strain the liquid. Heat up a pint and stir in the sugar until dissolved. Add to the remaining liquid. Pour into bottles and cork lightly. Allow to ferment. Leave until fermentation has ceased, and t
