Steep the fruit, chopped peel, quartered cherries, orange and lemon peel and sugar overnight in the hot tea. Sieve Hour and baking powder. Rub in the butter. Beat the egg; add egg and the steeped mixture to the dry ingredients. Turn the mixture into a greased and lined loaf tin. Bake at 350°F, 180°C, gas mark 4 for one hour. Keep for one day before cutting.
