  • 8oz Devonshire cream
  • 1lb plain flour
  • 1egg
  • 8oz sugar
  • Milk


    Rub the cream into the flour. Beat the egg into the mixture and add the sugar. Mix thoroughly with a little milk to make a smooth dough. Roll out very thinly and cut into rounds. Sprinkle with a little sugar and bake at 375°F, 190°C, gas mark 5 for ten minutes.
