  • 2lb apples
  • 6oz soft brown sugar
  • ½ pint cider

    Method

    Peel and slice the apples and put into an ovenproof dish sprinkled with brown sugar. Pour on the cider. Cover the dish and cook at 350°F, 180°C, gas mark 4 for thirty minutes. Remove the lid and continue cooking for ten minutes. Serve hot or cold.
