Sour cream 3 tbsp. 3 tbsp. 45 milliliters
Preserved ginger 1 oz. 1 oz. 30 grams
Ginger syrup 2 tbsp. 2 tbsp. 30 milliliters


Method of Preparation

  1. Finely chop ginger into slivers.
  2. Cut cantaloupe in half and remove seeds.
  3. Mix sour cream with ginger.

Method of Cookery

  1. Fill cantaloupe halves with sour cream.
  2. Decorate with ginger slivers and pour over a little ginger syrup. Chill.


As a first course with a late-picked Rhine wine, Riesling style. This flexible dish can also be served as a dessert.
