At the time of writing, my young son Andrew has just started to cook. His first attempt was scrambled egg. He made it exactly as shown on this page—it was perfect, wonderfully soft, creamy, and seasoned fit for the gods. Confidentially, I'm a little worried about my pride in his achievement. Usually fathers get all steamed up over their son's first black eye!
