When the famous author, gourmet, and world president of the Wine and Food Society, André Simon, dined at my home (I was terrified!), I gave him a hideous meal, but he did ask for a second portion of my mayonnaise. This pleased me immensely because I have taken some trouble to develop a good recipe. Here it is.
