An Ashkenazi noodle pudding. To our embarrassment neither Caz (the inventer and designer of this book) nor I (despite our Jewish ancestry) knew how to make this dish. Nigella Lawson came to our rescue. It was generous of her to give us this recipe — it not only filled a gap in our knowledge, but also gave us the opportunity to taste something our mothers really should have made for us.
