  • 400 g brown lentils
  • 225 g coarse burghul wheat

Method

  • rinse the lentils in plenty of cold water & place in a large saucepan, add 1 litre of cold water to cover the lentils & bring to the boil
  • place a lid on the saucepan, reduce the heat to a simmer & cook for 30 minutes until the lentils have started to soften
  • add the cumin, baharat & salt & mix well, leave on a very gentle heat to continu
