Deep-fried meatballs are tossed in a reddish sweet and sour sauce with green peppers and golden kumquats. This would serve 4 and goes especially well with Stir-fried Celery Cabbage or Cauliflower

  • 1 recipe meatballs, without the spinach filling

Method

Divide the meatball mixture into 16 portions and form into balls. This may be done hours in advance. Then deep-fry them as indicated in the recipe and drain on paper towels. Do not do the deep-frying in advance.
