In Ukraine, fresh fruit shows up everywhere and here strawberries take center stage in an omelet. Serve with a dollop of strawberry preserves.


  • ½ cup fresh strawberries
  • Honey to taste
  • 3 extra-large eggs

Cut the stems off the strawberries, slice in half and then quarter. Put the strawberries in a bowl and drizzle to taste with honey if desired.

Whisk the eggs, cream, and salt together in a small bowl. Melt the butter in a medium skillet or 10-inch omelet pan over medium-low heat. Pour in the egg mixture. Cover, reduce the heat to low, and cook 3 to 4 minutes or until the edges start to
