A food processor is the fastest way to peel beans without compromising the taste or texture. Also, it is way more efficient than the traditional method of soaking and peeling the beans by hand. The following is a step-by-step method for processing beans used in preparing dishes like moin-moin, akara, and gbegiri.

Method

The process:

  1. Loosen the skin of the beans by soaking in water for 5 minutes. Ensure that the water completely covers the beans.
  2. Pour the mixture into the food processor.
  3. Pulse 2 to 3 times using the knife blade.
