  • About

There are bean dishes and there is ewa agoyin. I am delighted to have grown up in a household that showed me the best way to make this meal.

Origin: Although ewa agoyin has been popularized by the Yorubas in the western region of Nigeria, it was inspired by the Togolese and Cotonou method of preparing beans. The name ewa means beans in Yoruba, while agoyin is a term used by Nigerians to refer to people from other West African countries like Ghana, Benin Republic, and Togo.
