Akara is a popular street food found in all parts of Nigeria. It comprises beans blended to a pulp and seasoned before being scooped with a deep spoon into a deep-frying pan, resulting in spherical balls of oily and finger-licking goodness. It is best eaten with pap or custard: a true breakfast for champions.
