This Lady Edith inspired variation of the Hanky Panky, named after her daughter, draws a connection between the pioneering spirit of the original cocktail’s creator, Ada Coleman, and the determination of Edith to live as a self-sufficient, modern woman. The Cocchi Americano gives the drink a golden hue, and the addition of lavender bitters harmonizes the botanicals in the gin and Fernet into a springtime garden.
