Stout Sangaree

Here is a hearty drink perfect for enjoying near the fireplace at the pub. It is part of the sangaree category of mixed drinks, whose members are all made with a base wine, spirit, or beer and a sweetening agent. In this version, ruby port adds sweetness and brightness to the mix. Sangarees (whose name is a variant of sangria) can be served over ice, neat, or straight up in a wineglass or beer glass.
