  • A Dozen Bananas
  • ½ Pound of Sugar
  • The Juice of Half a

Method

Peel the bananas and cut them into halves. Put the sugar and the water on to boil, and after ten minutes add the Lemon juice. Then put the Bananes, a few at a time, into the hot syrup, and let them stew gently. After a half hour take them out, lay in a dish, pour over the hot liquid syrup, and serve either hot or cold.
