I ought to explain at once that this is not really a soup. It is a combination of soft-cooked rice with freshly made coconut milk and small slices of sweet papaya. When I was a child, I used to eat this almost every day for breakfast. It is delicious and – so I was led to believe – very good for you. Here I recommend it as a cool refresher for a hot summer day.
