Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cabbage
  • 1 sour apple, peeled
  • ½ onion

Method

Cut cabbage fine, soak 10 minutes in salt water. Drain, heat the fat (from top of soup-stock preferred) add cabbage, the apple, (cut up), caraway seed to taste, salt, paprika and onion. Cover very closely and cook slowly about one hour.
