Follow directions for Brown Sauce, increasing the proportions one-half. Heat butter, add the onion, let fry lightly, then the peppers, tomato and mushrooms; add this to the prepared Brown Sauce, season with the rest of the ingredients, cook altogether 20 minutes and serve hot over thick broiled steak.
Note—Kitchen Bouquet is a highly seasoned liquid, prepared for gravies and sold by grocers.
