  • 1 small onion, chopped fine
  • French Dressing or German Dressing


Cut roots and coarse outside leaves of ordinary lettuce or head lettuce. Remove the outer leaves one at a time and place in cold water until wanted. Drain, shake off the water, add onion, if you desire and place in salad bowl or in individual dishes and pour over French Dressing, or German.
