  • ¼ cup butter (melt and add to cheese)
  • pints cheese (press dry and put through colander)
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup cream, beaten
  • Rind of lemon, grated
  • 3 eggs beaten separately
  • ¼ cup washed currants
  • ¼ lb. blanched almonds, cut fine


Line a pie plate with pastry or Kuchen Dough, pour in the mixture and bake in moderate oven until a golden brown and well set.
