  • 1 cup stale ginger bread, grated
  • Sugar to taste
  • Rind of Ā½ lemon
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon molasses or syrup
  • Sprinkling of cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt


Grated Leb Kuchen may be used in place of the ginger bread Recipe for Gingerbread for Fillings. One cup each of seeded raisins and currants may be added, if desired, also a little citron and a few almonds, each cut fine.

Spread thick on thin layer of Kuchen Dough, and use for Spice Roll, or as a garnish for Boiled Noodles.
