Ingredients

Part 1

  • 1 cup chocolate
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup milk

Part 2

  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar (brown)
  • 3 yolks, beaten
  • cups sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup sweet milk

Method

Melt Part 1, but do not boil. Cool it.

Mix Part 2—Cream butter and sugar, beaten yolks, then Part 1; stir well and then add milk and the flour mixed with the baking soda, and bake in layers. Chocolate Icing.
