Name: Matzos Torte
Ingredients: 1 cup chocolate, grated; 1 cup sugar; 1 tablespoon wine or lemon juice; 6 yolks, beaten; 1 teaspoon each cinnamon, allspice and cloves; 1 teaspoon baking powder; 6 whites of eggs, beaten stiff; 1 cup almonds, blanched and grated; Grated rind of ½ lemon; ½ cup matzos meal or; 1 cup cracker meal

6 yolks, beaten

1 tablespoon wine

Method

To the beaten yolks add the sugar and beat well. Mix the dry ingredients; stir all together, adding beaten whites last.

Bake in spring form or in layers, with jelly between. Ice top and sides with Chocolate Frosting.
