Ingredients

  • 1 cup of butter
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • ½ cup of cream
  • 1 cup potatoes, boiled and riced
  • 1 cup of almonds, grated
  • 1 cup of chocolate, grated
  • ¼ teaspoon cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 yolks of eggs
  • cups of sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Rind of lemon
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Beat 4 whites of egg

Method

Cream the butter and sugar together, add one yolk of egg at a time, and the rest of the above ingredients, beaten whites lastly. Bake in spring form, moderate oven, forty-five minutes. Chocolate Frosting, on top.
