The pumpkin seeds add a chewy texture and the flowers a burst of colour to this easy and versatile bread recipe.

  • 500 g/1 lb strong white flour

Method

Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl, make a well in the centre and pour in the oil and water. Draw the flour into the centre and mix well, until the dough leaves the sides of the bowl. Once the flour and liquid are combined, quickly work in the seeds and petals. Alternatively, you can make the dough in a food-processor.

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead it for five minutes.
