Rose Cup Cakes

The height of fashion a few years ago, these are not unlike the fairy cakes of many an English tea table, yet entire bakeries in New York and London were dedicated to cup cakes. It is impossible for cup cakes to be too overdressed or elaborate. As well as the pink frosting, you might want to use crystallised rose petals, silver dragées and petals of candied angelica. For those who have neither the time nor the inclination to ‘gather ye rosebuds while ye may’, this recipe can be made with ro
