This is a different butter to that described, more in the style of a rum butter, to be served with a steamed pudding, for example. I use eau de vie de framboise instead of rum, but you could also use kirsch. The butter is also delicious on warm scones and griddle cakes. Freshly made pancakes can be spread with the butter and served with raspberries. When the mixture is at room temperature, you can use it as you would butter cream to fill a Swiss rol
