This method can be adapted to any of the scented flowers that feature in this book, and for a very special occasion you might even want to make up a batch scented with rose, elderflower, jasmine, lavender and violet. Naturally, you can only make this in summer, but Turkish delight keeps well in a dark, cool and, above all, dry place, so you will be able to offer unique gifts at Christmas, prettily packaged in glass bowls or lined baskets covered with cellophane.
