Heat the fresh milk and water and bring to a simmer. Sprinkle in the cardamom and nutmeg. Reduce the heat and simmer for six minutes, stirring from time to time to stop it sticking. Add the other milks and cook for another three minutes, stirring all the time. Add the nuts chopped roughly in a processor. Serve in espresso cups and drink warm to dispel winter blues or soothe heartache.
