Ingredients

  • 4 oz plain flour
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp malt vinegar
  • Salt

Method

  • Mix into a thickish batter – a bit like wall paint – and leave to stand for twenty minutes.
  • Dip marinated fish in the batter and fry until golden brown on both sides.
